Once you have obtained your planning consent you will wish to judge how best to fund your scheme.
In brief, there are several options to be explored and analysed, depending on the individual circumstances:-
- Private funding – the investment of a Client’s own or privately generated finances into a scheme development
- Public funding – Public monies are available to schemes within certain areas and which fulfil certain criteria. Grant funding is a moveable feast – what is available today may not be available tomorrow – and it is important to judge applications for grant funding carefully. Sometimes public money comes at a price – there may be conditions attached making the scheme less viable or more difficult to deliver. Equally, public money can make the difference between heritage buildings being saved or not. At Rural Solutions we will examine available streams of public money and advise on their suitability and flexibility. We also work with specialist grant consultants and have delivered workable funding for several schemes nationwide
- Joint venture funding – Heritage & Rural is a further Accent company and was established in 2006 with the purpose of undertaking sustainable development in the countryside, villages and market towns. It can offer to Clients and partners the benefits of development funding, expertise and joint venture. Whilst JV developments are currently on hold, Heritage & Rural acts as a rural developer in its own right, acquiring regeneration sites both off and on the market
