Education & Training - Langcliffe Quarry, Settle
The Rural Solutions service has grown considerably in recent years, with feasibility and business plans now incorporating the arts, education, healthcare, leisure and tourism. Nowhere is this better demonstrated than at Langcliffe Quarry - the former Craven Lime Works, near Settle.
Located in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the clients were the National Park Authority, Yorkshire Forward and Craven DC. The brief was to devise an end-use concept and secure planning against a backcloth of 15 years of earlier failures. Our planning and scheduled monuments submission was to create a landmark environmental, education and enterprise centre.
